Overview

$25,000 Bonus; $4,167 paid out monthly for 6 months after 30 days of employment.  To receive bonus, must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Cardiac Cath Lab.

Position Summary:

The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who performs patient assessment, develops, implements and evaluates effectiveness of an interdisciplinary plan of care for patient populations with various diagnoses. Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations. Provides education to patients, families, caregivers and other health professionals. Assists in the supervision of other staff members, students and volunteers, as appropriate. Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients'/caregivers' rights, as identified within the institution.

Qualifications:

  • RN Experience:
    • One (1) year of critical care experience in a setting such as ICU, ED, PACU as a Registered Nurse required only if no previous experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) or Cardiac Cath Lab within the past 5 years.
    • Must be able to scrub and circulate in IR and/or Cath Lab procedure area.
    • Must be able to take call and able to do heavy lifting and pushing. Must be able to wear protective lead apron and thyroid shield.
    • Provide nursing support for non-invasive cardiology and radiology services.
  • RN Transitional Experience:
    • Two (2) years of full-time experience in an acute care hospital (all departments; with exception to Surgery). Surgery department would consider one-year full-time experience in a surgery center.

    • Must be able to scrub and circulate in IR and/or Cath Lab procedure area.
    • Must be able to take call and able to do heavy lifting and pushing. Must be able to wear protective lead apron and thyroid shield.
    • Provide nursing support for non-invasive cardiology and radiology services.

Licenses:

  • Current California RN License, required.

Certifications:

  • Current BLS required upon hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.
  • Current ACLS required upon hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.

 

Each new hire candidate who is offered employment must pass a physical evaluation, urine drug screen and pre-employment background checks before starting work. 

 

*Salary/Hourly wage range for this position is posted.  Actual pay will be determined based on verified experience as well as internal equity.
