Position Summary:

The Human Resources Consultant I will provide support to the overall Recruitment/Onboarding process. 

 

Major Position Responsibilities:

The position characteristics reflect the most important duties, responsibilities and competencies considered necessary to perform the essential functions of the job in a fully competent manner.   • Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit based safety and infection control requirements.
  • Handles routine applicant correspondence.
  • Sourcing candidates via LinkedIn, Indeed and other sources.
  • Prepare paperwork for employment offers.
  • Ensure verifications of employment for employees and candidates is completed.
  • Coordinates Traveler process with agencies and department managers, including onboarding.
  • Assists with New Hire Onboarding.
  • May work with peers on monitoring the flow of processes.
  • May assist with other HR functions as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in Recruiting, Human Resources or equivalent experience, required.   
  • Experience in a hospital and union environment, preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize demands to meet multiple deadlines while offering detailed oriented work, required.
  • Must be discreet and maintain confidentiality. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong presentation, verbal/written communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and MS Word, required.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar is preferred.

 

Each new hire candidate who is offered employment must pass a physical evaluation, urine drug screen and pre-employment background checks before starting work.

 

*Salary/Hourly Wage range based on experience.
