Position Summary:

Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a physical therapist, using physical therapy modalities and procedures, as ordered by the patient’s physician. Carries out patient care programs to progress the patients through the program until re-evaluation by the physical therapist.

  • Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit based safety and infection control requirements.
  • Administers corrective exercise and treatment for assigned patients under the direction of a physical therapist who has assessed and evaluated the patient.
    • Complies with the California Physical Therapy Practice Act.
  • Assists the physical therapist in their delivery of physical therapy services.
  • Follows clinical and personnel policies.
    • Consistently demonstrates professionalism, respect and confidentiality with patients and staff.
    • Makes every attempt to reduce expense and maximizes production and revenue.
  • Perform related duties as requested.

 

Qualifications:

  • One (1) year experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant, preferred.

Licenses:

  • Current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license from the Physical Therapy Board of California, required.

Certification:

  • Current BLS; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider, required.

 

Each new hire candidate who is offered employment must pass a physical evaluation, urine drug screen and pre-employment background checks before starting work. 

 

*Salary/Hourly wage range for this position is posted.  Actual pay will be determined based on verified experience as well as internal equity.
