Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the oversight and data entry for the Stroke Program including the integrity and accuracy of information produced within the Program. This person facilitates stroke rounds, quality outcomes, and process management of the indicators for the Program. Monitors compliance of nursing staff and Physicians within established indicators and regulatory criteria; conducts follow-up on variances. Collaborates with internal and external resources to ensure effective planning, implementation, and evaluation of the stroke program. Mentors and coach’s staff and physicians to expand knowledge of stroke and limit variances in performance. Collaborates with team members throughout the medical center to ensure effective survey readiness. This person is responsible for ensuring consistency in timely reporting, follow up and explanations of variances. As an educator this person facilitates the enhancement of nurse cognitive skills and competency for the care of stroke patients. The job encompasses integration, facilitation and coordination of the leadership, operational, and clinical activities of stroke services. The individual must consistently support the mission, vision and values of the Medical Center, and acts as a role model relative to the Medical Center’s Service Standards.
