Overview

Position Summary:

 

Performs evaluations, develops and implements treatment plan for pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric populations with various diagnoses.  Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations, including meeting productivity requirements, maintaining professional development, and maintaining continuing educational requirements in order to provide up-to-date assessment and treatment methods.  . 

 

Major Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs evaluations, develops and implements treatment plan for pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric populations with various diagnoses. 
  • Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations, including meeting productivity requirements, maintaining professional development, and maintaining continuing educational requirements in order to provide up-to-date assessment and treatment methods. 
  • Possesses knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient population.
  • Provides education to patients, families, caregivers and other health professionals.  Assists in the supervision of other staff members, students, and volunteers, as appropriate.

Safety and Infection Control Responsibilities

Responsible to maintain a safe and clean work environment, including unit based specific safety and infection control requirements

 

Qualifications: ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE, & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2 years of overall experience preferred

Licenses:

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Physical Therapy Board of California required.

Certifications:

  • Current BCLS certification required
